Need some assistance with installing a p/s A-pillar trim piece, which began its de-installation
a few months ago. Appears that rtv or other glue-type substance was used.
Obviously, the two screws hold the top part of the vinyl/rubber piece, but it's unclear
what holds the bottom portion, near the dash, and the length of the trim piece.  Pics below.

Bottom portion doesn't seem to jive with the holes in the third pic

and this clip is the only one used
to hold the midsection of the piece in
place and there's no add'l holes for more
clips.

there are three "holes" for the above clip and the current one
fits the middle hole.  would be nice to use the other two holes
and add'l clips, but there's no hole(s) made for them.

just read another member post who used 3M moulding tape
for the metal letters on his car. 3M suggested interior use
as well.

The clips go in the the slots and then area press fit into the holes. And No, this not the best design in the world, specially after 50 years. LRDaum
