Hi can anyone tell me what is the correct shifter for a 69 amx 390 4 speed? Car came with a inland style and my 69 tsm shows only the inland was a hurst style available as an assembly line part? I’d like to upgrade to a hurst eventually

Early 69 had Ford shifter. Mid year(?) Hurst became the factory installed shifter.

I believe about mid production year the Hurst shifter was used in 69. Early builds had the Inland.

The date for the running change to the Hurst shifter was approximately December 1, 1968 production. Most '69s would have been built with the Hurst. |
