Finally getting my parking brake working on my '69 AMX. I had 2 badly corroded drum cables that were frozen. Actually found them on Amazon from Raybestos. Also had no equilizer spring, so got that worked out. Now I have no pedal return. Does anyone have a picture of the spring attached to the pedal assembly, or a good description of the attachment? The TSM is pretty vague about the spring and attachment. I haven't actually tried to stick my head under the dash yet, as I am not a limber as I was 50 years ago, and I wanted some input before doing so. I haven't found an OEM spring replacement yet, but I don't think this is critical, so I should be able to find something aftermarket. Thanks to anyone who replies!

Thanks! That's about what I figured after looking at it. I actually think I have a spring that will work. There a a jillion pictures of early AMC and Jeep parking brakes, but they all have the spring missing.
