I did the front brake conversion on my 64 Classic a couple of years ago. Back then the hoses to use were off of some year model Cadillac as I recall. They worked great and still do but seem a bit long and I've noticed as you get to fully lock the hoses rub against the tire. I don't think adjusting the position is going to make much difference. Is there some sort of retractable keeper that I could use to keep the hose pulled away from the tire?

I used stock rambler brake flex hoses (new ones!) and a "banjo adapter" from brake connect.com. Far easier!

Does your caliper mount on the front or rear of the mount. My 62 with Scarebird mount from 2010 mounts on the rear no interference using the Caddy hose.
