Good!!! Now what condition are the u-joints? If a V-8 there are two joints in the front -- it's a "Double Cardan Constant Velocity" joint. The two shouldn't flop between them. There is a centering pin and spring arrangement that may be worn out. If so the only thing to do is take the shaft to a driveshaft shop and have them lengthen the tube and convert it to a single joint. No problem -- 56-62 Ramblers with V-8 used a single joint. If a six there is only one joint in front from the factory, and a single solid drive shaft.

They look good. The bearing on the drive shaft looks good.

Looks can be deceiving. Rotate the bearing and feel for any "catches". Move the u-joints and feel for the same, and also check for side to side movement. If they are tight then the vibration is somewhere else. Check the rubber mounts on the ends of the crossmember. The crossmember shouldn't be resting on the metal C channel, but suspended above the bottom leg... between the two legs of the C. The C channel is a safety to keep the crossmember from going up to far or falling off the bottom if the rubber mount breaks.

The joints felt tight. I didn’t feel any catch when I turned the shaft in the tube or when I spun the bearing in the drive shaft. The center trans mount rubber was trashed. Had one, but went ahead and ordered the side mounts. Now I just have to find the tool to replace the bushing in the tail shaft.
