The torque-tube AMC20 has a different carrier than a normal open driveshaft AMC20.  Be sure you know what it came from.

I was thinking that the carrier was the same and just the pinion is different.

I was told the width between the bearings is slightly different.  I've never had a TT Power-Lock to measure for myself.   Luckily, there should be a date code stamped in a Power-Lock.  Anything 68-71 should be good, some 66-67 will work.

How do you use your Rebel? Honestly, unless it is raced frequently, or driven in snow, a twin-grip is only for bragging rights.

I have swapped late Carriers in to the goofy 1966 AMC20 with the long pinion before but had forgotten about it.  According to Farna that one is a torque tube design.

I looked at the pinion and it's the same one I have so it should go into my Rebel with out a problem.
