I am looking for ideas for alternator sizing and typing.

Car is a 62 American being rejuvenated for a librarian to use as a summer daily and cruiser.  All original wiring and regulator are intact.  At present the engine is out, torn down, cleaned, measured and in reassembly / paint.  Its time to start thinking about next steps ahead so I am looking for help with electrical system.

Specifications for the car are as follows
1.  196 cu in with WCD 2V Erson cam distributor recurve estimated at 150 HP
2.  Stock BW Auto trans with 2.87 rear gears
3.  Stock Gemmer gear box with power steering Added
4.  Stock Horns, Heater, and factory clock
5.  Stock size turn signal flasher with LED bulbs
6.  Stock cluster and gauges
7.  Dome light, kick panel lights, and glove box light are now 1 watt LED
8.  Aftermarket LED map lights (2) mounted at Rear view mirror
9.  LED Head lights have been mounted
10.LED Tail lights and Brake Lights (2 watts x 2), and back up lights (2 watts x 2)
11. 2 x 3 watt underhood and trunk lid LED lamps
12. Newport Wipers intermittent electric wipers 84 watts
13.  Dakota Digital Cruise control (36 watts)
14. 4 each  USB Powerports 7.5 watts each
15. Driver would like to use a 500 watt inverter to charge batteries & a laptop
16. A pair of electric fans drawing 15 amps each is being considered
17.  Blue Tooth Radio (25 watts) with a 50 watt booster amplifier

If you set the inverter aside for a moment it looks my worst case moment is idling with the tunes blaring on a rainy night with the fans and AC or fans and heater on.  With all this in mind, I am leaning towards selecting a 110 -130 amp internally regulated GM or powermaster alternator as the cruise unit could easily mount where the regulator presently lives. Because the steering box is the earlier smaller gemmer unit, there are no steering box clearance issues for the left hand mount alternator as there are on the later cars with saginaw boxes:  AC and PS are on passenger side.  If this is a proper selection, I need some help figuring proper wiring

A plain old 55 amp "10si" will do. None of the stuff you list is a hog.

A 500w inverter If a real rating is a capability, not it's consumption. If you plug a laptop with a dead battery in to change I doubt it will draw more than 50, 100 watts while charging. If the inverter is 75% efficient your max consumption might be as much as 150w, about 11, 12 amps at 12v.

The alt just charges the battery, at speed the alt will supply the load, floating the battery.

But loads are complex. Consider the starter -- it draws 100 to 400 amps for a few tens of seconds max, then the alt brings the battery back up over time (the integral). It doesn't need to provide 100 or 400 amps.

"1000 watt stereos" same deal. Mainly ratings bulldung to sell 30w RMS as "1000 watt peak, modern 1000 watt so called is hardly more than an old tube radio. (just measured one; about 1.5 amps, 20 watts for AM and maybe half a watt of audio).

10si is cheap.  And if you don't drain the battery too dead won't smoke your harness.

Oh fans.  30 amps. Idling for long periods with both fans on might drain battery.  But why so much fan? My roadster had one SPAL fan, 10 or 15 amps, and the wagon, 14" nylon flexalite it NEVER overheats idle or speed.  No shroud big aluminum radiator.

At idle a 110 amp alt won't put out 110 amps anyway, more like 5 or 10. Someone must know that number....

If you do manage to drain the battery a 40 amp alt will charge it just fine and might take 15 minutes of driving to charge instead of 5.

That's the right answer IMO. Fans won't pull the full 30 amps once they're up to speed. Maybe 10 amps.

If you are setting the car up as a daily, make sure that you are really confident that the wiring harness is up to the task.  60 years is a long time to expect things to work well.  Check for cracked insulation and corrosion, don't be afraid to replace some of the wires.
