It took a lot more time than I thought it would but the paint correction is finally done.  You have to love polishing black paint! Lol

great!  what system/materials did you use?
1969 Rebel SST (1970-1987)
1968 AMX (2005-2011)

At least with black, you can see all of the imperfections clearly.....lol
Its a great feeling to polish one out and see no imperfections in a mirror finish.

I used Meguiar's 105 compound followed by their 205 polish.  It's old single stage paint so I went through numerous microfiber cutting pads and polishing pads.  Once I finally had it done, I applied two coats of AMMO NYC's Reflex coating.

that 105 looks like some heavy duty stuff!

The 105 is a heavy cut but I think the previous owner must have been a huge fan of automatic car washes.  Here are some close up before and after pictures.

Black is an unforgiving colour. It will highlight the slightest of imperfections. Your AMX looks straight as an arrow. Well done!
