No. There should be a small gap between rod end and master cyl socket (shorter), not stick-out. That will of course operate the brakes. 

I dunno about power boosters, but I imagine the pushrod has to match master cyl and booster, and the old stock manual brake one is not correct.

There's been talk of adjustable pushrods and a tool another forum member made to determine correct length. Since you're mix'n'matching you'll have to work this out.

The master and the booster are both from a 68 Javelin and rebuilt, no mixing and matching. I went ahead and installed the master, bled the system and at the moment it’s not hanging up. I’ll recheck it once it’s running and if it hanging then I’ll adjust the booster rod. Completely new brake system, done. 
I’ll post some pictures in a few.

Update to the previous post. After a subsequent and thorough bleed, the front calipers were in fact hanging up. I loosened the master and viola, no drag.
So I reset the booster rod to the shorter spec from the TSM, re-assembled and no drag. 
Far out man.
