So I have a question regarding trunnions. From what I understand, it is not necessarily easy to rebuild trunnions so I have opted for a set of rebuilt ones & spare myself the work. However, Galvin’s AMC does not seem interested in my cores now as they are not returning my calls. So, what to do with a perfectly good set of rebuildable trunnion cores? Does anyone know if any other vendors well accept  them for rebuilds? I just don’t have a use for them now, and hate to see them just lying around.

Doug,
You could list them here in the "For Sale" section. Or, you could clean them up, install new bushings and a new thrust bearing and Voila!, rebuilt trunnion! Seriously, they aren't that difficult to do yourself. I've done 7 or 8 sets for my cars, my family's cars and friend's cars. If you can live with the Pro-Thane poly bushings they're a breeze to rework. PM me if you need help, I'm in southern Indiana.

You didn't say which car you have, so I assume it's a 1969 AMX, lol.

There are more than three different trunnion systems in Ramblers/AMCs. Gotta say which!

1961 Roadster American, 195.6 OHV, T5

If you just want to get rid of them and no one on the forum could use them, I'd contact these guys.

They offer rebuilt trunions (even NAPA carries them) and they may be interested in cores.
