I only use the shoulder belt in the AMX at the track. I have yet to use it in the Badassador.

I wonder if the Javelin and AMX have the same seat travel since the floor pans are different.

Same I would assume, the tracks would be the same.

Always wore the Shoulder Belt, stored it on the Lap Belt Metal end piece,
with lap belt metal flipped over, then inserted into the lap belt floor sleeve... Resulted in Lap Belt always already somewhat "in-place" ready to go. |

Ok, this is done with a loose rear belt, so the clip end that fits the head will be different. Note how its folded. The problem is you will need to readjust every time to store it and use it.

Pull the shoulder belt fairly taught toward the front of the car, slip it in, flat along the headliner, (no rolls), behind both wire brackets. Fold the belt over itself at the front, then slip it behind the wire bracket again, now with the belt adjusted to the correct length and folded correctly, there will be enough loose belt remaining so that the belt can then be folded forward and the slot in the male buckle end placed over the forward wire bracket. This looks nice and keeps the shoulder belt in place even when there is no passenger and the windows are down at highway speed. I wear the shoulder belt always when driving the car.

It was the passenger belt that came loose and was trying to hit him in the head.
Nice posts on the folding and will pass that along. He has owned the car since new, since 74 and it has never happened before in all those years. Thanks for the pictures and advice. |
