By process of elimination, I've tracked my transmission issue back to either the reverse sprag, or the reverse servo. Still need to get the pan off to check it out. Got a new, larger radiator to replace the one I blew up against the fan. Next on the list is wiring cleanup and new shock pushing. Also need to get some softer leaf springs. Any suggestions for that? I'll be trying to get some this next month.

Just remove one of the short leafs from the leaf springs. That will soften it up. You might need to pull a couple leaves out. Just leave the short, almost straight bottom leaf in -- it's an overload spring. That5 is if it has one (most trucks do). |
