Nice! It is tricky because it's so tight. You gonna add the idiot light and sense wire to the GM two-pin sensor? It's worth the effort.

In fact, I ordered an ammeter to (reluctantly) hang under the dash.  Thanks!!

I would never run an annmeter.  Ive seen wires rub and short out.  Not fun.  Better to have a voltmeter.  
But its your car.

The ammeter went into my gauge box and I used the voltmeter instead, thanks!
Used 10 gauge wire to and from.  Works great!
