The guy who does a/c for Dan Curtis does great work and is pretty reasonable. He got the a/c working in my'72 for around $850, which included a new Sanden-style compressor, condenser and hoses. That was four years ago and I've had zero problems since. It always blows cold too. His shop is called RMACC Hose Company in Glendale, and I think his name is Brian. Phone 623-776-7710.
Both my cars had leaky back-glass. In fact, the '72 still does, even though I paid to have the glass reinstalled. |

Wow, that sucks about the rear glass not sealing. I have heard of them, and that's where I intend to take it when the time comes. I do think they're gonna have to mess with my controls too, though. And probably clean out the tubing and vents, etc. It'll be a job, for sure. lol I did just take the car out for the very first highway blast, so that's cool. I did notice a vibration at about 2000 RPM when travelling at about 70 mph. The vibration is also noticeable when stopped and in neutral, so I'm pretty sure it's not the driveshaft, differential, or wheels. I'm hoping the input shaft isn't making weird contact with the pilot bushing or something. I had the flywheel balanced to match the original flexplate already. I do have polyurethane motor mounts though, so maybe it's just a characteristic of poly mounts?? I've never had poly motor mounts before. |

I dont understand why you had the input shaft shortened? What car is the transmission for? A mustang I assume from the input shaft coarse splines? How much did you have it shortened? Thanx, Jon
