I have a 1959 Rambler Super 195.6. How difficult is it to remove the oil pan to change the pan gasket? I looked at it and found that the cross member probably has to be removed but I also noticed that at the front and rear, it appears that the lips are under other parts that may also need to be removed. Could anyone give me any advice on the easiest way to going about this? Thanks.

The front of the pan screws to the bottom of the timing cover, IIRC. Nothing on the rear. Support the engine from the top. You can run a 2x4 across the fenders with padding between wood and fender and support the motor from that. I'd jack the motor up just slightly (don't want to break mounts, but "stretch" them up about 1/4" -- no more), then support motor tightly (chain or ratchet strap). Then you can lift it up -- jack (with stands!) or lift. As noted, crossmember and steering draglink have to come off. The crossmember can be lowered without disconnecting the lower suspension arms.
