Maybe the defective hose was not intended to be a vacuum hose and not suitable to be a brake booster hose. How was it labled?

I don’t have it anymore, but I think it was fuel line hose, and was new when the booster was replaced two years ago.

Thanks for the insights with potentially binding center pin.
I appear to have that exact issue on an 02 Taco. New/Rebuilt master and booster. Both seem to work find when not installed. Once installed, the brake is hard to move / grinds. Upon removal and manually compressing the booster, I have confirmed that the center pin is off-center, rubbing against the seal.
Have Picking up another one today. Hopefully the mfg tolerances are better on it. |
