Have you ever seen a bearing welded to a journal that the tang stopped it from spinning in the rod?

Seen quite a few rod journals chewed up along with the bearing. But the caps stay in place even if the rod breaks. Only when a rod bolt breaks or comes loose have I seen a bearing cap come loose.
