Unlike other "restorers", I do not blast the motor parts. That leaves a very incorrect finish, rough, dull, sort of a sandy look after plating. I also remove all rust inside and out using chemical methods - meaning of the park angle later needs to be changed it won't leave rust showing on the park switch plate (I've had some sent to me for "repair of the repairs" and when I went to correctly set park, it exposed rust so I had to properly strip the park switch and plate it again.
I actually plate the field pole shoes to prevent future rust inside, among other detail things.

A lot of differences in methods - I worked with chemists and other folks at the company that I get my plating supplies and chemicals from.

After having a couple of wiper motors sent to me by guy who restores AMCs to "fix what was wrong" with motors from another source, it just drove my OCD nuts.

Dave is good, Bill is a perfectionist.
If you need it soon, send it to Dave. If you have time, send it to Bill.

What kind of time? I'm a little flexible. Can he refinish the arms and hardware as well?

I have not seen a post ny Bill on this site in months.  If you want perfect concourse I guess you should wait.  If you want it done well and working and nice within a few weeks, contact Dave Bass.

I am sure Bill D does the best restorations you can get.  But there have been many posts here from people that have sent him items to restore that have not received an emailed reply for months after sending their items.
