For how long did he say before he'll have more? I know some race shops that use his cams a lot, including Mopar and AMC. Wonder if he's out at the tail end of the race motor building season and waiting to stock up at a desired cost point.

Used to be that regrinding cams and lifters was the norm, but these days new aftermarket cams and lifters are cheap enough that it's gone out of fashion and most of the old cam grinders have closed up shop.

FWIW, the factory 360 cam for 1970 was 0.426" lift, 293 deg total duration and 71 degrees overlap, 401 cam was a little bigger 0.458" lift, 303 deg total duration and 68 degrees overlap according to the TSM. Unfortunately duration at 0.050" is not given.

Duration at .050 is 196 for the standard V8 cam, like the 360, and 207/208 for the 401.

I got an email from Jones Friday, stating that there was "an industry wide shortage of cam cores right now" and that "we won't be able to get an AMC cam core for a few months. However, if you want to send in your cam for a regrind, it would take 3 weeks and cost $150."

Wiseco forged pistons
Melling M-Select Torque Cam and Lifter Kits CL-MTO-1
Cam and Lifters, Hydraulic Flat Tappet, Advertised Duration 280/290, Lift .448/.472, V8, Kit
edelbrook preformer intake manifold #3731
Edelbrock AVS2 1906, 650cfm, elec choke
Summit HEI distributor SUM-850048
balanced with Wiseco pistons

This is what my builder used in a recently built 360 for my AMX. Like yours, for street and not racing.
Wish I could tell you how it really performs, but it's getting some metal work done on it now.  From what little I've driven it, I will say it is VERY STOUT!
