So I just received my new springs for my 68 AMX today from a local spring outfit. Very disappointed. To start the top and bottom on the coil springs haven't been flattened. I also notice that the height is shorter from the original, this part I'm not too concerned about at this time as the old ones are standard and the new ones are heavy duty and there is a big difference in stiffness. I'm concerned the leaf springs aren't correct. I measured them against a set I have lying around. I believe they're out of a javelin and it appears the front length is an inch shorter. If this is the case that would move the wheel a full inch forward in the wheel well. As far as I know this would look wrong, possibly create some rubbing issues and mess with the torque links. I'll be dropping the leaf springs out of the AMX next week, dumb question but I don't want to assume, the rear springs should be the same length on both the leading and trailing length from the centre for both standard and heavy duty sets? This place has been in business for over a hundred years, you'd figure they'd get it right.

Send those coil springs back.....junk and not right, You are not the first to report this,
Where did they come from?? Leaf spring Heavy Duty or STD Duty are exactly same length from spring bushing to spring bushiong on the main spring. Eaton Spring or AMC Specific parts vendors should be able to help you.
