I’m trying to figure out a build date for a 727 transmission I may buy. The numbers I have are 2317752, 3860, 1015. Looking at the TSM 1974 manual it shows the part number, build date number, and the serial number that is on the left side of the tranny above the oil pan.
Using the manuals way of figuring the build date I back tracked from 4175 (January 1, 1974) to determine the build date on the tranny in question. I got February 18, 1973, that was a Sunday. Not sure I am correct on this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

A Mopar transmission should have four fields stamped on the pan rail. #1 - manufacturing plant - ?? #2 - part number - 2317752 #3 - 10,000 day build date - 3860 = Monday, February 21, 1972 #4 - Build sequence number - 1015
