A matched set! lol. Yeah, they're always parked for a reason, and that reason is rarely a good one!
Well there you go. No one ever torques the head. If it had antifreeze, that's a good sign. (We're reading tea leaves here....) Could be a simple gasket leak (lol, not that simple) and if someone was sensible enoguh to park it when it exhibited symptoms, lucky you.... the usual solution is to just keep driving and adding water. THe likelihood of that engine (for reasons of it being 195.6 OHV) having been overheated are very high. I would still disassemble the head and have it boiled and cracked. If you ever sold it you'd more than recover that cost, these heads are gettign scarce (though they probably don't sell like hotcakes). Documented crack free would be a big selling point. |
