Eastern Creek 2009

Shannons Eastern Creek Classic is by far the Biggest get together of veteran, vintage, classic and sportcar get together in Sydney NSW year after year. Fortunatley i have been attending this meet for 15 years now and it is very hard to compare it to any other one or two day event of its type in Australia. The event is organised by the CMC (Council of Motor Clubs of NSW) With 200 car clubs...2000 plus cars, vendor displays and Historic motor racing all in one day, it is unbelievable. Rebel71 and I travelled 2000kms return last year for this event, Garry's in his 63 Classic and myself in the 55 Hudson and we agreed to do it again. (good for me as im back in Sydney)

The Hudson - AMC Car Club of Australia (based in NSW) has 30 odd Hudsons and AMCs on display each year...(every car club gets to do a lap of the famous GP track). if interested let me know as i will be organising the tickets and numbers required...im aiming for 40 cars this year due to 40 years of the club and 100 years of Hudson. The event is held on the third Weekend of August each year. I need to know Quickly as it is only about 15 weeks away.

Looked like a great day! I wish I could have attended with my American. Maybe next year I guess. Maybe some other American's will come out for the day too next time, I didn't see any in the photos.

That Hudson Hornet Convertible is fantastic! Also the black '63 Studebaker Hawk is gorgeous!

Oh there it is  I can't believe I didn't see it!

I love Garry's '63 Classic. I read the feature on it in 'Just Cars' magazine. I didn't realise so much work had gone into it until I read the article.
