Picked up a set of these headers for my 1970 AMX drag car - from what I understand it has been 20 years since these were produced - There is a very, very good custom header company 30 minutes from me and I am thinking of having them make a few sets of these only in stainless - I will be getting pricing in the next week or 2. Your thoughts???

I think you should invest in 50 sets.

I have personally owned a set of these Hustler headers. I bought them new in 2003. It was summit part number HED-95100 if I remember correctly. 2" primary and 3-1/2" collectors. No adapter plates necessary. Oh yea...and close to a $1000 dollar price tag new in 2003. Best set of factory headers I ever owned. Ports were perfect. They were really nice. Sold them at a swap meet in Columbia, Mo and they ended up in KC. Wish I would have hung on to them but I didn't want to cut up my 70AMX to go faster....built the Spirit instead and didn't need them.

I had them on my Spirit for a short time when I still had somewhat of a stock front subframe. Had to do a lot of grinding and modification on the car to get them to fit. I remember that the factory front strut rods and brackets had to be moved and modified. They will fit IF you make them fit.......lol |
