Working on the rust in the engine bay on my '74 AMX and found this ID tag on the front , center engine bay cross beam. Looked in the TSM and it doesn't show this tag as to what it ID's. Any help appreciated.
It's an "N-code" A727, yellow exterior, black interior. |

Yeah, I was reading online that some AMC cars were assembled in Germany (AMX's), but only for the 69, 70 years. Also could be some sort of customs ID or tax exemption, if US military.
Anyway, it's staying put - great conversation item when I take it to car shows.
