MY BUDDY PUT A 5 SPEED IN HIS 79  L82 CORVETTE AND  GAVE ME THE ORIGINAL T-10

WILL THIS WORK IN AN AMC?  INPU SPLINE DIFFERENT SHIFTER DIFFERET

It might work if you use a Quicktime AMC/GM bellhousing ($1200), a different pilot bushing, and a GM clutch disc.  I have a GM spec Legend 5 speed in my 67 Rambler.

Lakewood used to make an adapter bell housing to put a GM manual trans behind an AMC engine. Probably hard to find these days.  

I have one in my Gremlin with an all-aluminum T10 trans out of an early Corvette.
