just a curiousity of mine, but has anyone stroked a 360? I have heard the webbing is less than the 401 but I’m sure someone has tried it with some sort of success. and please no “just buy a 401” comments, I want constructive conversation, maybe some story telling. That recent hotrod article on the 440 they made Has the ideas flowing on a build.

383? Was it a completely new crank or modified the 360 crank?

You pretty much have to use a 390 or 401 crank, either standard stroke or offset ground unless you want to get into a billet crank as used for that 440 build.

I don’t know if anybody has had any success offset grinding the cast 360 crank.

Custom pistons and or rods will then need to be added to the deal.

360 + 0.030” x 4” stroke is 425 cubes. We really do need a cheap 360 stroker kit.

Stroked 360 crank to 3.53" with 2" journals.  The block is bored out to 4.155"

I just finished up another one.  Page 33 shows some video if it running.

2" rod journal 3.53" only adds about 10 cubes with the standard 4.08" bore.
If you pushed the envelope to 1.88" Honda journal, you might stretch the stroke to 3.65" and gain 22 cubes with the standard bore size

Use a 4" stroke K1 crank.
Over 400 inches.

Yes 418-436 cubes depending on bore size (4.08"-4.165"), just a shame about the cost. If you have that much money to drop on a crank, you can probably afford to find a 401 block while you are at it.
