Anyone made from scratch a sanden to engine mount bracket?
Not a sanden to factory mount bracket.
Thanks

Probably not much help here, I'm guessing you already know this.....

The AMC factory made them or purchased them from a supplier.

I believe roughly about 84 or 85 the factory began putting Sandens on FSJ with the 360.

The bracket is cast aluminum and kinda rare but not impossible to find.

Jeep guys might be a good source for one

They aren't all that expensive to buy, but I'd think that they wouldn't be too difficult to make.

That's a conversion plate, 401T10 wants the entire bracket as a one piece bracket, bolt it to the engine and put a sanden compressor on it.

Anyway as long as it got mentioned, I found a much better conversion bracket. It was made to convert Tecumseh and York compressor mounts to a sanden mount in over the road trucks. It's cast iron and performs and looks much better than the welded plate conversion bracket.

The conversion bracket is easy to make, I'd like to fab a mount to block, head.
Thought someone else with a welder, scrap pile of metal, and shallow pockets might have fabbed one up?
When I was young and dumb, I must have threw a dozen away!
Now that I'm 60 and hot, I wish I had a couple of OEM mounts?
Thanks ( future winter project)

That's what I am looking for!
I have a factory NOS aluminum bracket for my 73 but have a NOS still in the original box SANDEN compressor I'd like to use.
so I need an ADAPTER so I can use the SANDEN compressor on my factory box-type compressor bracket.
If you find something please let me know!

Hello,
where did you find this conversion bracket? A link would be great, I need one for my 1980 Jeep J10 Honcho, thanks.

If going with the aluminum bracket, you will need the metal alternator brackets as well, unless you are using a non stock alternator.

Not sure if SChornet or Skoewn has moved alternator up higher on his bracket, but I am not the only one here who incorporated non factory mounting.

Had to add this... been batting 000 on who is who, I have a funny feeling, Pitcrew has the setup I been explaining.

Oh also them brackets do not mount on early Gen2 heads, probably late 71 heads will have the mounting boss on the face of the head, just below the valve cover lip.
