Could someone advise me. On the '78 Concord 6 heater core, which tube is the inlet nipple. The large 3/4 tube is at 10 o'clock while the 5/8" tube is about 4 o'clock looking at the firewall. I would guess the larger hose tube would be the inlet from the Thermostat housing, and contains the heater valve, but I can't find any confirmation in the shop books. Ron

Usually the larger tube will be the return line to the low pressure side of the pump. The control valve should be on the smaller high pressure hose from the thermostat housing.

Thanks, got it. the nipple the thermostat housing is 3/4" and the nipples on the heat valve and core inlet is 5/8". The outlets on the water pump & core are 3/4". Seems like the thermo housing heater hose nipple should be 5/8".
