The T10 of 66 had the Gen1 V8 bellhousing. The I6 bellhousing is different for that era so it will not bolt up.
It would be likely about the same amount of work to bolt in a GM automatic 700R4 or 200R4.
The only bolt up donor 4 speed is the twin stick, or a 3 speed with overdrive.

Never seen one before, but that puppy is huge! Wonder what tunnel mods were made for that factory installation?

picture one is the trans laying on the right side. it shows the left side and no way to attach a 1967 and up shifter to it. only way to do it may be to change the rear section and replace it with a 1967 and up rear or to drill and tap holes for bolts. picture two is the top of it. picture three is from the 1966 TSM showing the shifter which has most of it attached to the plate that attaches to the tunnel so is a very strange setup. if you want any more pictures send your requests to me and not to joe.
