If you can get a hold of a powerlock factory service manual,
they show the different combinations of stacks to achieve different holding torque values.

The different Auto manufactuters each had their own stack order that was specified.

Hello Everyone, I'm hoping someone can answer my question. I have a 68 AMX with a 2 piece power lok diff. I'm replacing the clutch pack and I picked up a Spicer kit #22233x, supposed to be correct but it only has one dished disc, one flat disc and all three plates are flat and the same thickness. O.E has one thin flat plate, one dished plate and one thick plate,, one dished disc and one flat. Is the Spicer kit an upgrade or is it the wrong part?Confused
