Anyone know how much a center arm rest for a 1970 AMX w/4-spd is worth nowadays (approximately) in very good condition (without the brackets)? |

I paid $300 for mine not long ago and it is in really nice shape. Condition matters a lot but they seem to be in that area from what i've seen.

I would say 250-300 if in great shape; 150 or so if it needs reupholstering. The metal frames on these are often cracked by one of the bolt holes....so take that into account too.

"..without the brackets.." From my experience, those are the Achilles Heel as the brackets were welded to the tranny tunnel and not removed with the cushion.

What is the experience of the $90 center armrest re-coverings that are offered by ADP and others? The original cover on my arm rest isn't cracked but boy is it hard. I understand the cover is not leather, so its not possible to re-tan or soften it up....

The brackets to the tunnel are stupid simple and can be easily fabricated by any novice. Don't let that be a deterrent. I would say $300 also for a nice one. But if Legendary makes the cover for this...
