For all it's re-engineered component parts, could we also say AMX was reborn in 1970?

-Re-engineered one year only AMX 390 engine
-Re-engineered front suspension
-Re-engineered front body works
-Re-engineered schematic diagram-of-car/symmetrical dash
-Re-engineered high back bucket seats (taller head restraint for safety)

And again, SAE international gave 1970 AMX it's 'Best Engineered Car of the Year' award, apparently for all it's improvements, as compared to a '69 model, which took the award that year.

Two lesser known interesting things about Gremlin are:

1) AMC's Gremlin is situated in history to memorialize NASA's Gemini space program.
-'Gremlin' is a similar word picture to 'Gemini' (and Gremlin and Hornet were two in one project)
-The 'Gremlin Man' ornament for the car is suggestive of a NASA astronaut wearing a silver space suit.

2) '68 AMX GT showcar keeps company with '68 Reliant Scimitar and '69 Austin Zanda

Located near Columbus in Dublin, Ohio the Classic Auto Show draws around 1,000 cars or more.
This is the 38th year for this show. This year they feature the 1970 Gremlin and the 1970 Hornet as part of their marque vehicles. The show also features bands and food vendors.

There is an AMC class for the Saturday show.

They are looking for as many of the 70 Gremlins and Hornets as they can get. AMC parts vendor Jeff Kennedy of Kennedy American is on the board for this show. If you have a 70 Gremlin and/or Hornet and need more information about attending give Jeff a call.

The link below is to the official show web site and provides a lot of details including scheduling, hotel information, and registration.

There will be a special Military Vehicle Display at the 38th Annual Classic Auto Show provided by the Motts Military Museum!
