Will these work? https://www.edelbrock.com/pushrod-guide-plate-for-amc-9669.html
Other options? Going with scorpion rollers in my build. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/scc-scp1054 Not sure if the studs are included, so thinking about ARP studs. Any recommendations? 84 AMC 360 Should be 64cc heads. Thanks. |

You may need to machine the top of the rocker stud mounts (pedestals). These plates are 1/8 to 3/16 inch thick, can't remember. All depends on pushrod and rocker geometry. are you working with 291C heads?

On a 1984 360 head, to use those rockers you will need to machine the pedestals ~ .375" and use guide plates. The stud holes in the head will need to be drilled and tapped to 7/16". You will probably need a custom or different length pushrod and need to buy the studs. By the time you're all-in, look at Harland-Sharp rockers that are a bolt-in. Bob tufcj

I don't know but I like the H-S rockers on my 4.0....... which had bridged rockers.
Other than needing to shim up the pedestals because I shaved the head a fair amount, changed cam and so on and wanted the correct lifter preload and valve stem contact, they simply bolted on. |

Don't have much experience with guide plates (coming from a Mopar), but here is what was being used in my 304 stocker motor:

Others will work, but I agree with PROSTOCKTOM, and using the Performance American Style type.
Understanding is they are made in Texas using American made materials.
