Not a "well" known Indy block as there is no valley support webs.
There was supposed to be prototypes of an Indy 500 aluminum block with the modified center oil passage.
Rumors had it that these blocks broke without the valley webbing and never went far past prototypes.  Don't know if Indy cast these or not. 
That would be my guess.

The block is from the AMC Indy car stock block program, not from Indy Cylinder Heads.

401 Ambo, you must know these motors well from this post:
It was being machined 4-1/2 years ago, did you eventually collect all the parts, does it run, what's it going into or is it already installed???

Haven't built one yet, life got in the way. Did gather some parts and hope to start the build this year.
I intend to put it in the fiberglass AMX/3 I bought from Tom.

I saw another picture of this block on Facebook and there's cracks in the lifter valley. It's likely been abused already and turned into a memory by someone.
