Any paint codes on AMC factory blue paint? I see eastwood lists a kit but if I can get it local through NAPA or similar I would rather so that.
Or any good pictures of engines painted I can look at ?

Ditzler PPG DQE13730 is 69 up to 73 "Engine Blue".  From the AMC master parts catalog. I'm sure someone can mix it in quarts that you can spray on with a spray gun.

EN-66 is Seymour's part # for 69 up AMC engine blue in spray cans. Send me a PM if you'd like to buy some.

Hi there,

New to the forum but in the process of restoring my 1980 CJ7 that my father gave me when he passed in 1989. Pictures coming when done. I really want to stay true to the engine color. Can anyone please help me to get this correct color?

The 1968 color was Caravelle Blue same as the body color so that can be easily mixed.
The 1969 to 1972 Blue Poly color is identical to the 1969 color Alamosa Aqua body color so, that can be mixed as well.
The recipe for the 1973 and later AMC Engine Blue is in the notes below.

Alright, I saw this article but did not look close enough. Paragraph 3 spells it out! Thank you. It looks like A&L is no more although I live in CA. I am happy to order from anywhere in the country and ship to my mom in Nevada (CA blocks everything good). Can anyone suggest a good paint supply that can do the mix and have done a good job for you? Thanks again for all the assistance.
