A couple of things:
A friend of mine has had several 70 AMX's as well as CJ's. He is confident that the lock ring and seal is the same between the two cars. The angle of the sender may be different, but the unit should fit in the sender ring of the tank. In 2021, an EFI system was installed in a Rambler American. The bottom of page 7 starts talking about this and how the Holley CJ pump/sender assembly was modified to work in the American tank. Ultimately, the system was removed, but I believe that the in-tank pump was not the reason for the system issues. So it seems that the Holley CJ pump/sender could work, but it may need to be modified to ensure that the pump is drawing off the bottom of the tank. Mike |

1970 AMX, one step forward, one step back. Both steps cost time and money.
