Take note PAG oils come in various viscosities, do not mix them, unless the system is flushed and the compressor is an upgraded design. Example, SD7 uses a lighter viscocity than SD508, even though they are similar in design. SD508 is superceded by the SD7. GM had at one time, changed from PAG 100 (thicker) to PAG46 with select units.

Here's a good article on the new refrigerant:

I hope it gets colder, therefore is more efficient (can use smaller, lighter components), because it seems like more of a PITA to use. If less than 98% pure it can't be recycled as other refrigerants are, has to be recovered and destroyed. To me that indicates it might a blend of several chemicals, but I didn't research the chemical makeup.
