There is no changing a chevy lover but he does like his 70 javelin and this amx. HE sees these cars as good investments.

Where did you get that quarter repair panel?  And how did the Firebird wheel lip work out?

Looks like the standard two-piece quarter patches the AMC vendors offer. They're joined at the center of the wheel arch.

We get all our vendor parts from american performance. After a nasty rude bout with apd found this place. Very polite and helpful. The firebird parts are not a great fit but workable.

Would he think the mustang inner lip of the same year as FB or say 70's be any better?
What did he not like about the FB part not fitting but workable?
Was it not big enough or too big? Just trying to get a feel as I am sure me and others need this inner lip when they get into rust repair.

The guy doing the welding works in a metal fabrication shop. He comes in nights and works on Freds welding projects as the rest of the guys are doing collision work. He says better than nothing and will make it work and look good.

Excuse my ignorance. Are all the plug welds on the quarter for the trunk drop off?
