Why not just trim the longer push rod down to the shorter length and skip the adapter??  The exact length is in the parts book.........just an idea....would open up a a lot of opportunities for automatic folks.   Just an idea.

  Hope this picture helps.
The adapter is needed to clear the output shaft flange on the M11 & M12 transmission.
Have used equal length stainless tig rod pieces ( 3.5" ) in each modulator to demonstrate.
The one in the FVM-7000 M12/2SP modulator is shorter because the diaphragm piston face that the rod rests on is further down in the modulator.
So when I try this on the AMX I will need a made to measure pushrod.
Stainless Tig welding Rod is what I plan to use.
Hoping it works cos added benifit is there will be more room to fit the rubber connection between the steel vacuum line and the modulator. Bit of a mission when you adjust the modulator screw, test drive and readjust a few times with the factory setup.

Any chance that you took a photo before you did the welding? That would make the fabrication clearer. Is that a gasket under your new adapter? Most importantly, let us know how it works when installed. Thanks

Do you still have the modulator available? If so, I am very interested.
