Arizona's Cactus Classic AMC Car Show is being held again this year at the Martin Automotive Museum in Glendale on April 8th.  This will mark the 20th anniversary of the show, which is the largest AMC gathering in Arizona every year.  Last year, entrance to the museum was free to car show entrants, so hopefully this will continue.  It's a worthwhile attraction in its own right.  Further information, including hotel information, may be found in the show flyer further down the page.

Museum web site:  Martin Auto Museum

Nice collection!  I'm kind of partial to the Roadrunner, but the Jeep would be a hit too,

We hope to bring one or two down. If I am going, it's an easy choice - my '65. If Matt comes with, he has far more to choose from. May bring a couple of the MOPAR guys from Flagstaff as well, as long as they can keep up with me. LOL.

What a great show! Really cool to see so many nice AMC's in a great location. Here is a short video I made, it's four minutes with music. Cam, I am sorry I did not bump into you at the show. Where you there?
Tom

Rita also made a video for the show.

Before the show I had the opportunity to meet a really cool guy named Rich in a small town north of Phoenix called Meyer. Rich is building a home in an area next to a national forest and has a 1969 Rambler Rogue 290, auto, P/S, manual drum brakes for sale on Craigslist. I miss the 68 I used to have, so I stopped by at dawn to see the car. It was a California car and is still rock'n the black and yellow license plates. The color is Ascot Gray and there is no drive train. It is a good candidate for a full restoration (SC/Rambler clone anyone?). If you are interested, send me a private message.

69hemibeep, I am glad to hear that you bought the AMX you wanted.

Last night we had our first screening of the Cactus Cruisers video in front of a live audience. The four minute video was a great warm up for the event.
