Awhile back I'd acquired something I believe is rather unique and might possibly be of some historical significance.  It being, as stated on the piece itself, a "die model".  From what I can tell it's for a quarter window regulator, but this I am unsure of, I'm not too familiar with many car components, how I came by this piece is a bit of a story, perhaps for another topic.  I've tried to do research of my own but can't find images of anything similar to this piece or the part it was used to produce.  I can't even be certain of the vehicle the part went to.

I'm very much interested to know what vehicle this came from and the actual part this created if possible, I appreciate any information you guys can share with me and at the very least hope that this is of some interest.  Here are a few pictures of the model.

Images didn't work for some reason, trying them once more.  My apologies.

Since it says "die model", I assume they "traced" this easy to build wooden part with a "copy" mill to build a steel stamping die. Early CAD CAM :) For an AMC 1973 10/80 series.

I think what is important here is the data plate......the date on inspection is 1970, but the part is for 1973 Model 10/80 (Matador/Ambassador), the timing holds true for almost all items I have seen that are required for prior to production....3 years......

Looks like it could be for a B pillar lock post area stamping.
Long time AMC fan. Ambassador 343, AMX 390, Hornet 360, Spirit 304 and Javelin 390. All but javelin bought new.
