Thank you    I thought they were the same but everything I was looking up stopped at 360 then started again at 400 . So I wasn't sure.

Hey Willy land jeep, I'm in Charleston WV,
AMC Head casting specs for reference, not mine, may contain a couple errors:

3233344 heads were used on Jeep Wagoneer's though 1991. They are listed as 5.9l engines in the later years but are the same AMC 360. "5.9" was in the block casting location instead of 360.
The 1990 (1991 until completely phased out) 4 barrel had 9.0:1 pistons. 2 barrels had 8.5:1 pistons.

1979 was the last year for 4 barrel 360 in Jeeps.  Everything 1980-1991 was 2 barrel.

Yes I will stand corrected, it does seem that 1979 was the last year for the 4-barrel. still looking but I thought I read some were that there was a limited edition model in 89 or 90 with a 4-barrel but cannot find that reference now.
So 1979 it is.

Thanks for the info.    I was told the heads went in for valve seats and said the valves were bigger in 401 but I see that to be false.
