Listing for member who needs a little help posting pictures...not my car!
Bob Brueckner in New Mexico is the owner. BOBB is his forum name. Message him for basics. Message me with your email and I'll forward his pictures.
Bench seat.  Column automatic.
1977 AMC PACER $8500.00
RARE UP AND OVER TWO TONE RED. AUTUMN RED AND BRANDYWINE.
OPTIONAL VENT WINDOWS. CRUISE CONTROL (NOT CURRENTLY FUNCTIONAL).
DUAL SPORT MIRRORS. OPTIONAL ROOF RACK. ROAD WHEELS. NAVAJO PATTERN UPHOLSTERY.
I am 74 years old, my health will no longer allow me to finish the restoration that I wish to do and I want to pass my Pacer along to someone who will finish the job.
It starts, runs and drives as it should. No smoke, no noises.
It has a few very small dings and scratches. Way less than would be expected for a car that is 49 years old.
I have more invested in it than I am asking for it.
It is an original paint survivor with two small rust concerns.
One right over the rear license plate and the other on the right rear quarter panel.(See pictures) These are the only rust spots on the whole car. No rust to speak of on the frame. (light surface rust only) As far as I can tell it has spent the majority of its life in garages and dry climates.
In Deming New Mexico right now, and you can’t get a much dryer climate than that.
Dealer sticker says that it was bought in Florida originally.
The Alaska plate on the front was just a joke, since removed.
Here is a list of some of the things that I’ve done or had done by professional mechanics:
Initial cost. I bought it for $2000.00
Removed all pollution equipment. $100.00 (not necessary in New Mexico)
New exhaust manifold. $200.00 (original was cracked)
New intake and exhaust gaskets. $45.00
New motor mounts. $120.00 Installation $100.00
New front bumper valance panel. (Rubber) $50.00
New radiator. $200.00
Full tuneup, plugs, rotor, cap, wires, timing, oil, filter $170.00
New clear seat cover, made by me, over the beautiful factory Navajo pattern seats. (With easily removed fleece cover over that, so that you don’t have to sit on hot plastic in the summer). $50.00 And enough clear plastic to do the rear seat, which I haven’t finished.
New upper and lower A frame bushings, upper and lower ball joints.
New stabilizer struts,
New tie rod ends. $518.00 Installation $500.00
Front end alignment $100.00
New shocks (all 4) with installation, $185.00
New muffler and tail pipe. (Pipe shop) $350.00
New white wall tires (4). $330.00
Rack and pinion steering adjustment. $40.00
New hatchback struts. ( they don’t seem to work too well in cold weather). $30.00
Full set of original factory tech manuals. $125.00
Fresh, Professionally built, correct, automatic transmission. (with less than 25 miles on it right now, since installation). $3000.00 (including shipping cost). Installation $300.00
New starter and flexplate with installation. $145.00
New fuel pump. $35.00
New vacuum advance. $75.00
New heater core. $35.00 Installed in heater box but box not mounted yet.
Three complete (used) dash gauge clusters. $300.00 One of them is the proper one for this car. The gauge cluster that is in there is wrong one for that year. Don’t know why. (previous owner) Therefore I can’t give the proper mileage.
Total of my costs so far, excluding my own labor, $9103.00
Also, I will throw in enough window tint film and installation supplies to tint all the windows in this car, free of charge because I don’t remember how much it cost me. (At least a couple hundred.)
Extra parts in a trunk in the back.
New carburetor rebuild kit (not needed, the original carb works fine)
New speedometer cable. (not yet installed)
Speedometer currently doesn’t work.
Shifter indicator in dash needs a short thin cable connected to it from the shifter lever on the steering column.
Passenger side of the front bench seat has a broken spring in the seat. (can’t see it but it can be felt when sitting on it) (not poking through the upholstery)
AMC radio (AM FM 8Track) is not connected.
Washer/wiper may need attention.
Don’t know if AC works or not. Most likely, if it does work, it will need a charge.
New heater core, 1996 jeep, modified to fit. Original is impossible to find. Heater core is installed in heater box but box not yet installed on firewall.
Left headlight bucket needs a little attention to it’s mounting.
Paint, I'm sure, will buff out, but is somewhat faded from sitting in the sun for the past year or so since I bought it.
Left fender had some battery acid spots on it, and when I touched them up with the proper paint I found out that the new paint stood out too much. There is no rust or body damage under those spots. Currently licensed, insured and road worthy.
The rear bumper hitch should be removed. As far as I can see, it has never been used. This car has the mandated 5mph bumpers on it and towing something could very well pull the bumper right off!
All things considered this is a very nice original survivor and can be finished up with very little work, but I’m just not up to doing it anymore.
Buyer will have to arrange transport.

Thank you so very much for helping me post this ad for my Pacer on the forum. I see that you couldn't figure out how to get the pictures on the post either. Some people seem to have done it though, I wonder how.

Ramblin Rev,
I've just been in contact with Cam (member) and he tutored me on how to do the pictures, somewhat.
Enough for me to be able to get them onto the server.
Which I did.
But before I read this last note of yours, I sent him a message asking him how to get them to you or to put them in the post myself.
I guess that you already have them.
There might be a problem with you doing any converting of them to any other form because I renamed them all as 1 through 9 to make it easier for me at the time.
When I put them on the server though, they went on with their original desigignation titles.
Just some information in case it makes any difference.
