Ok Guys and Gals, I was at a AMC show last weekend in MD. it was at the Cecil County Drag Strip.
While there I ran into a drop dead gorgeous Silver with Red interior 73 AMX. The car looked like it had 70 style rocker moldings on it painted to match the body. I wanted to talk to the owner but never caught him by his car.
Has anyone on here ever seen or heard of doing this ? I see the wheel base on the two cars would suggest that it could be doable. The 70 Javelin SST has a wheelbase of 109.90, while the 71-74 shows a wheelbase of 110.00.....

Its possible, the end caps fit over the long panel, with plenty of extension underneath. From my 71 panels I think you could mount them on a car that is 1" or more or longer / or shortened for smaller car bodies.

The shorter part of this also makes sense, because I found an image on Google images of a Gremlin witch the same moldings. Would love to find someone who has done this.....

Is it this one?

Sorry for the sideways image, no matter how I rotate or save it, it ends up like this when I upload it
into the forum file manager.

YES, that is the one. It was parked in the second row back from the road...
