I'd like to get my hands on the 68/69 setup to compare it to 70 housings and lenses.

If you mean, are they tapered from the inner to outer end?, no they are not.

I took a rough measurement of the lens (mounted on the car): 2 1/4 " wide and 14 3/4" long. This is from the inner edge, outboard to the chrome trim piece before the lens wraps around the corner. This includes the reverse light area which is not part of the easyperformance board.

I meant the inner and outer light bulb areas don't appear to be identical, I say this because the Easy Performance led kit looks like one side of the board is a bit longer than the other. I assumed the inner board is the shorter one.

I've been in contact with Easy Performance Products LLC.

It sounds like he is willing to develop a kit for the 70 Javelin/AMX tail lights.

There would be 8 boards with LEDs on all of them to fill out the housing.

The 70 Housings have two "areas" inside each of two "compartments" per side.

Hence the need for four boards each side, 8 boards total.

If you are in any way interested in LED tail lights for your 70 Javelin or AMX, contact Easy Performance

Easy Performance Products, LLC4600 Bonnie Ave. SE Kentwood, MI  49508 USA

 Ph: 616-214-7880 (10am - 5pm ET, M-F)

Fax: 616-608-4625

sales@easyperformance.com

Tell him Armand sent you. There maybe a chance at getting the cost reduced if he makes multiple kits at the same time. Like a group buy.

I received an email message from Jim at Easy Performance.

He mentioned that if ten of us are interested in LED tail lights for the 70 Javelin/AMX he can do a 15% discount on a set. That's nearly $50 off the estimate for one set.

He said doing less than ten sets won't lower the price.

If we can get ten orders, that will be $275 each.

I'm in !

Glad to hear that he's making them. Wooster Kevin has talked to him about doing them for a 71-72. I think he's sent them a set with the lenses for a template. There's got to be 10 guys that want these for their 70 Javelin or AMX! People will complain that nobody has anything for an AMC yet when an opportunity like this comes up, they all disappear. Angry Good luck!
