I am installing my 70 AMX dash and i noticed in the TSM it states to make sure the headlight switch is positioned correctly before tightening. My question, is there a certain way that the switch must be installed before it is tightened? the only difference that i can see would be the way it faces as far as the plug install(plug up, down, facing out our inboard). Thanks in advance for any help.

There should be a small locating tab on the front of the switch that mates with a corresponding notch in the dash. Orientation of the switch only matters regarding clearance for the plug and the wiring.

George w is correct, there is a notch and kind of hard to get aligned. Front seat out and have a buddy to help get the nut on was always better for me.
Have fun, hand cramps and all. LOL |
