Ok not even close to being done with my 59 American wagon and I just recently sold everything AMC to a friend since I'm getting up there in age and a lot of things I figured I'd never use. yes I'm only 60 but rough last 40 years. So now I checked in on a friend who has a 70 AMX 390 4 sp. I last spoke to him in 1998 or so+ -.  Anyways I bought his AMX and just after bought a 70 Javelin 232 car Base model and do I mean base. So project starting. just got engine back from machine shop. std bore but did have to sleeve number 7 do to water intrusion. Body was just about perfect in 98 do to stored in a garage and original owner. but in 2000 he installed a Crane cam H/S rockers and a rev kit from I'm guessing H/S or Crane. Nice set up but never ran after that. First thing I did was clean everything out. that's when I found the original rockers in the trunk and was surprised when I pulled the valve covers. I'm going to get the drivetrain up and running first then start the work on the body and interior. dash is good shape but seats are dry rotted from Tx heat. So ill post a bit here and there. The day I found her , actually the day I re-found her. A tarp over a car does wonders on the paint.
59 American 2dr S/W. 70 390 AMX. 70 232 javelin. Kelvinator fridge ice cold beer storage.

Is the car originally a white/shadow mask car?  Looks like its pretty nice, way to line up the next project!  Have fun, keep us posted.
1970 AMX, one step forward, one step back. Both steps cost time and money.

Look forward to seeing updates. I like the white/shadow combo.
