Are the front fenders interchangeable between the 70 amx and the 69? also is there a difference between the taillight mounting panels in back. Obviously the extensions are different but did amc redesign the actual body parts between the years? I ask because I have a 68 that needs the taillight section replaced and a friend with a 70 was looking at my 69 front fenders

68 69 70 fenders are the same except for the area around the side marker light, the front fender extensions are different. The late 70 fender has an extra tab on the front to help support the fender extension. The front fender extensions are different because of the difference in the hood length. tail light panel is different.

Could you put a '70 rear panel, with taillights on a '68-9, yes. Would you want to? I don't know. Can you put 70 front fenders on a 68-69? Yes, but at minimum, you'd change marker lights. |
