Did some more finishing work. Better plug wires, non-rigged up fuel line, and working power steering.

Kept wondering about Midnight Rambler's numbers on RPM/speed compared to my numbers. I put my GPS speedo in my daily driver to verify function. Back in the Rambler, 80 MPH is at 2050 ish RPM. Was sure I checked the ratio as being 3.31, But that was years ago. it must be either a 2.73 or 2.81.
The more I drive it, first gear isn't short at all. Really runs well, and really like the 5 spd.

When all else fails, read the manual correctly.. rear axle is a 3.08, just like the tag says. Don't really like the 440 emblem on the car, and always liked the 401 emblem. Just don't want to be misleading.

Finally getting around to having matching rims on the car. Played around with the center caps, but didn't like relying on the stock set-up to hold the NOS caps on. Thread locked some threaded rod in them, and used Ny-lock nuts instead. Pretty surprised that the 17 x 8" wheel fits in there..

I like it!  I have a 3:25 rebuilt Ford 9 inch center section with a Posi for sale if you need it.

Thanks Rick, pretty sure that Ford center section won't fit in the AMC 15, no matter how hard I try!
